Third time luck for Romanians

How it was in the first few minutes, it seemed that the Romanians should have made a stock of goals in the first half-time and thus lay the path to their first victory. The crash of both teams, which were defeated in the first two matches, started better Aihan Omer, who had permanent leadership from the first minute. The biggest difference was four hits (11:7), but gauchos didn't give up and in 27th minute they leveled the score (12:12). In the last minute, however, Romania has scored two goals and with this difference went on break.
With two goals in a row Romania has opened the second half-time and in the 44th minute for the first time has achieved +5 goals difference (22:17), Argentina has scored two goals afterwards, but they failed to draw closer and threaten the rival advantage.

Aihan Omer (selector of Romania)

This was a very important match for us. After two defeats we had to win. We were not brilliant but I think we deserved to celebrate. This is our first victory in the championship, but not the last. We must win the remaining matches if we want to enter the next round.

Eduardo Gallarfo (selector of Argentina)

We were close in a couple of occasions, but we have not held concentration long enough. We've made mistakes, and Romania knew how to make advantage of it. The best part for us was in the final stage of the first half-time, when we leveled the score. We could have gone to break with a point of advantage, but by making errors we gave point to the opponent. After that it was difficult to expect that we would level the score.
